USA BMX Summer Camp
In this hands-on project-based program, students use BMX bikes to perform various experiments while learning and applying critical concepts to explore the world of STEAM. Over the course of the 40-hour long Summer Camp, students learn new ways of seeing science, technology, engineering, art, and math all through the lens of a BMX bike. Students will receive lessons on how to build their own BMX bike, balanced vs unbalanced forces, energy transformation, measuring and gear ratio problems, designing their own bike, friction, leverage, and geoscience topics such as soil composition, percolation, infiltration, and much more!
This is a weeklong, fee-based summer program geared toward students in grades 3 - 9.
